Snicker Doodles This recipe is from Jeff and Kate Hirsch
Great cookies with coffee, tea or milk!
We first enjoyed these cookies at "Fridays" B&B Inn on San Juan Island.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Dough
1 cup Butter flavor Crisco
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 Tbs. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
Cinnamon-sugar mixture
1/2 cup sugar
2-3 tsp. cinnamon
1. Cream Crisco, sugar, eggs, milk, & vanilla
2. Add dry ingredients & mix till blended
3. Roll dough into 1-inch balls & roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture
4. Bake on un-greased cookie sheets till golden brown (shorter time for softer cookies)
Remove to cooling rack --cool about 10 min. before removing. Enjoy!
